As an international leader in parrot conservation and welfare efforts, we have aided more than 80 species in 43 countries, returning thousands of parrots to the wild and protecting millions more from the threat of extinction. We are here to help 24/7.īy Charlotte Foxhall, WPT Administrative Coordinatorįor over 30 years, the World Parrot Trust (WPT) has worked hard to ensure the survival of parrots, one of the most threatened of all bird families, from severe deforestation and trapping that have all but wiped out many of their populations. So if you have any questions or would just like to speak to a member of the team please do call , message or e-mail us. Our experienced team are happy to offer advice on any training needs, behavioural concerns, dietary issues or other bird related topics. Vetted safe-houses are located throughout England and Wales and we are fortunate to have a few venturing into Scotland now too, where incoming birds are assessed to ensure a future good match and any health or behavioural issues identified and, hopefully, resolved. We are very appreciative that re-homing your parrot is not an easy choice regardless of the reason but Open Arms Parrot Rescue will support you through this process and make that transition as easy as possible. The Rescue provides a non-judgemental and understanding, confidential service should you need to re-home your bird under any circumstance. We are a group of amazing volunteers whom have vast knowledge and experience of different parrot species, all devoting our time and efforts into ensuring every bird that is entrusted to our protection is safe, cared for, their health needs responded to and most importantly, loved. Here at Open Arms Parrot Rescue we are driven by one single goal: To re-home our parrots into a safe and loving environment.
